Grant Stokes
Jake

In addition to being seen on ER, Grant has had numerous lead roles in independent films. He also has extensive stage experience from NYC to L.A. and has written three plays, one of which was produced at EP Theatre in Chicago to great reviews. He has an M.A. in Voice Performance and an M.F.A in Acting, and studied with the renowned Uta Hagen of HB Studios New York as well as the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Grant is also the lead singer of the band Crooked Willow, which cut its first CD this past fall and whose music will be used in Fall Away. Grant is listed with I Actor and Actors Access, and is an exlusive artist with Aria Talent and Ford Models in Chicago.




Nathanael Card
John

Nathanael holds a BFA from Stephens College of Performing Arts. He endeavors to perform and produce collaborative art that inspires his audience to learn more about themselves. He is a published painter and poet, world traveller, carpenter, and an instructor of ballroom dance and chess. Nathanael is grateful for every opportunity to share his passions with the world - especially Fall Away - and thanks everyone involved in and supportive of his career. Most of all, he honors the undefinable powers of the universe that make such a blessed life possible.




Erinn Strain
Mel

A native to Chicago, Erinn has returned after spending time on both coasts in New York and Los Angeles. She recently finished shooting the independent film "Sleeping" and has been seen in many shorts and full length features including "Slave", "Manson", and "Graven Image". Here in Chicago she has worked with companies including Steppenwolf, The Gift Theatre, and Buffalo Theatre Ensemble and has studied with The Moscow Art Theatre, has a BA from NYU and is a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio.




Kathleen Lawlor
Lucy

Kathleen is excited to have been an associate producer on this wonderfully written film and to play the part of Lucy, the band's manager. Her IMDB film credits include The Defiled as the lead, Janice by Julian Grant, (at film festivals: Chicago International, Fantasporto, Oporto, Spain, Bram Stoker, Whitby, England), College Debts (2010 Cannes Films Festival) as Janet by Warr Bros., Dead Bastard, as Barbara by James Scully, Realization as Dr. Josie Moran by Juan Castaneda, The Sea in you Eyes as lead, Ella by Aaron Sallferttor and others. Television credits include Animal Planet, Baltimore's Evening News, WJZ as spokes person for Proctor & Gamble's Olay and several national commercials. Kathleen performs regularly in various Chicago theaters and holds a BFA from St. Ambrose University. She is a Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) member and represented exclusively by Big Mouth Talent, Chicago.




Ann Hagemann
Molly

Ann is very proud to be a part of the "Fall Away" family. She can currently be seen in the feature film "Hannah Free" as Spirit Rachel, and has worked with Boris on his Pillow Talks Webisode series as Miranda! Some of her other on screen credits include: Dixie in the western feature film "The Showdown", released in April ’09 on DVD, Carol in "Stalling", Annie in "Bully Breath", Detective O'Neal in "Cracking", "Wicker Park" with Josh Hartnett, and Becky's Mom in "One Hour Fantasy Girl" which played at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival and also available on DVD. She played Vi Petty in Mercury Theatre's prod. of "The Buddy Holly Story", directed by Janet Lauer, and performed in both the Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale's prods. of "Respect". Some of her other favorite stage roles include: Kate in "Taming of the Shrew", Nancy in "Oliver", Catherine Holly in "Suddenly Last Summer", and Nora in "A Doll's House". Ann is represented exclusively by Dawn Gray, President of Gray Talent Group.




Louie Lawless

Character Actor, working full time as a actor all over the mid-west. Presently has over 80 films to his credit, many commercials and a couple TV pilots that are being marketed. 2010 looks to be a very busy year for him.




Robert Tobin
Marcus

Robert Tobin has spent the last ten years consistently working in film, television, and theatre. Film/TV work includes: Lofty Intentions, Chicago Poems, Dogme95: Converging With Angels, Fog, Live Free or Die Hard, My Name is Earl, Days of Our Lives. In theatre, Robert has starred in a number of different productions in Los Angeles, Chicago, and regionally. Recent theatre includes the title role in Macbeth at the MET Theatre in Hollywood, Closer at the Complex Theatre in Los Angeles, regional work with the Utah and Colorado Shakespeare Festivals, and local work here in Chicago. Robert currently resides here in Chicago with his lovely wife, Lea.




Ali Goodman

Ali Goodman is an actor and a singer born and raised in Chicago. With a strong background in theatre and music, Ali is now focusing her career towards film and voice over. She is thrilled to work with director Julian Grant on this film having worked with him previously on The Defiled, over the summer. Ali looks forward to working with this talented group and bringing "Pat" to life in Fall Away.




Ryan Relyea
Brett

Ryan Relyea was born in Santa Cruz, California, and although he would like to think he's a west coast guy at heart, he was raised in Wappingers Falls, N.Y. His parents instilled a strong appreciation for the arts from an early age, and at 6 years old he began piano lessons. The piano was soon replaced by the drums, and Ryan has been in jazz bands, symphonies, rock bands, marching and pep bands, and pit orchestras for the last 20 years. In the process of pursuing a role with the Blue Man Group some years ago, Ryan began acting classes at Act One studios, where he learned to hone a different art. He has appeared in various short works including a music video and a Columbia College student film. While he was enrolled at Act One, he was befriended by Grant Stokes and quickly enlisted in the country/folk band Crooked Willow. Ryan continues to be an avid drummer, although he now splits his creative time between acting and music.




Hamid Assain
Clarence

Hamid Assian was born and raised in the Chicago area. A musician since 3, he plays anything that has strings pretty much. Has taught violin/viola/bass for 8 years. Took acting classes in Jan. '08 and has been an active commmercial/film/theatre actor in Chicago. Along the way, he picked up a B.S. in physics/mathematics too.




David Golan
Jasper

David, a native of Highland Park, IL., has been active as a musician and actor since a young age. While in recent years his focus has been mainly as a guitarist/singer, he's studied of late at Act One with Grant Stokes and appeared in David Cromer's Our Town at the Chopin Theater as well as various student films. He's excited to be a part of Fall Away as both a musician and actor and is grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented and friendly cast and crew.




Zane Byrdy
Bo

Zane Byrdy is a Chicago native actor and musician. He has studied with the likes of Julian Grant(director) and Grant Stokes(method-trained actor) at Act One Studios. He has been involved in the live-music scene in Chicago for 10 years, and is currently performing with the Bitter Wigs, an up and coming Chicago based band.
